P-40 was never considered to be the best
fighter aircraft but it was rugged, reliable and was available when it
was the most needed. P-40 was still being produced even after more
modern types like P-47 and P-51 became available in large numbers and
this is the best testament to its worth.
Model depicts
aircraft flown by Lt George Welch during Japanese attack on Pearl
Harbor.
