Bonus parts included in the model allow
building the "Lady in the Dark" plane, known and famous mostly for its stunning nose art. It is a little
less known, that on this aircraft, Lt Robert W. Clyde and R/O Lt Bruce K. LeFord achieved the last aerial victory (claim
often disputed by historians however) of World War II, forcing the
Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa (Oscar) into the water on the last night of
the war. |
